Day 5 Update - Another stretch goal unlocked and super close to two more!

Hi all! The good news keeps rolling in. I'm just going to keep saying thank you to all the backers who've come on so far, so you better get used to it. Thank you! I LOVE making quality games and without backers to back them, they would never become a reality.
Okay, so here's the news...
The good news: Yesterday we broke the $18,000 mark and unlocked the improved threat card underside illustrations. I look forward to working with the illustrator (Angela Rizza) of the rest of the game to come up with some great replacement illustrations.
The not-so-good news: We are a mere 13 Facebook shares away from unlocking the improved building card underside illustrations. It just sits there awkwardly behind its overachieving "$18,000" sister, still completely locked. SOOO, in fairness to the community, it's not right that I ask of you what I wouldn't do myself. For the next few days for anyone who shares this link on their Facebook page, I will do the same for them. Meaning, I will share whatever link they provide me (provided it's not obscene or make my dear aunt Edna unfriend me) on my Facebook page. I have 457 followers on my personal Facebook feed, so if there's something you want to share with them now's the time. A favorite movie? Comic book? A link to your business? (small print: I reserve the right to deny things meant to cause outrage, or otherwise be offensive)
Looking forward to you sending some links my way!
As far as the next goal, we're pretty close. I would like to close it out this weekend and get closer to a goal I think you all will LOVE. Stay tuned on that one...
Storytime: If you're wondering if Darkness (part of the Deluxe Bundle) is a great game here's a story for you. About two years ago when Darkness first came out I happened to be driving through a little town in Connecticut called, Groton. I saw a game store there called the Citadel Game Cellar so I decided to stop in. I got to talking with the owner and he decided to purchase a dozen copies of Darkness after playing it. Fast forward to two days ago and he contacts me out of the blue and writes me, "Darkness sold out some time ago, some copies have remained local and get repeated play in the store which has generated renewed interest." If there's one thing designers LOVE to hear is that people love playing their games. It would be great if I had a chance to stop by there again to see all the different strategies people have come up with while playing it and talk with them. Perhaps one day...
For anyone interested in Darkness as well as Dawn, here's the backer level to look for.
Finally, I wanted to mention that if you are on the fence about Dawn because you're not sure if it's a fun game, I totally get it. I'm the kind of person who reads twenty minutes worth of movie reviews to find one movie (just ask my soon-to-be wife, Patty). If you would like to try out the game, by all means, set up a time with Dina the community manager to try the game out on Tabletop Simulator. You'll be glad you did. Her email to set up a time is [email protected].
Thank you all again!
Day 2 update - First Stretch Goal Unlocked!

Hello everybody! Some really good news to report here today. Not only did the Kickstarter break the 400 backer mark, but we also unlocked the first stretch goal!
At around 2pm today backers unlocked the improved card back graphics stretch goal. This is really great news because this is something I wanted to have added to the game.
The next goal is a social goal. If we share this link 42 more times on Facebook we unlock the improved building card underside illustrations. They could definitely use a facelift, so please share that link! The art will be created by the same person who created the rest of the game's illustrations, Angela Rizza. If you haven't had a chance to check out her online portfolio you should definitely see it. It's amazing!
A lot of people have been asking me to include Darkness in the Deluxe Plus tier as well as the Deluxe tier. Not to worry, there will be lots of add-ons you can purchase as part of the fulfillment website after the Kickstarter is over. Darkness will for sure be one of them.
Thank you again for being a supporter. I can't wait to make and send a copy of this great game to you.

Day 1 Update
– Wed, Feb 24, 2021 at 01:48:45 AM
Hello everyone! Thank you so so much for backing Dawn! I'm sure you're going to love the game. A ton of time and attention to detail went into refining it.
We had an incredibly successful first day! As of the writing of this post, we're at 315 backers and $12,384. That is amazing!
I've been reading over all the comments as they come in and answering them as quickly as possible, along with Dina the community manager. A couple of things stood out to me.
No. 1 - people want to also get a copy of the first game in the Dawn quadrilogy, "Darkness". SO, I've added a new backer level which you can see here. Feel free to go and adjust your pledge if you would like to add a copy of this game. The games are quite different but are part of the same universe. Darkness is a "progressive bidding" game, which is a new kind of mechanic. It's made of really high-quality materials and the art is just as good as the art for Dawn. Tons of fun. It's been selling VERY well around Boston just through word of mouth.
No. 2 - I made a mistake on the shipping costs to Canada. I originally had $18 to ship to Canada but I have since been informed that the shipping rates are much lower than I thought from the U.S. The new cost is $10 to ship to Canada. Sorry for the confusion!!
No. 3 - There are a lack of images showing the things that are in the Deluxe Plus tier. I knew it would be good to have these images pre-launch but there wasn't time to create them with all that was going on. As the Kickstarter goes on we will add those reward images as we make them and let you know in these regular updates that they're there. Again, sorry about that omission!
No. 4 - The first three stretch goals have been added, as requested. Go check them out! (we're just $2,500 shy of the first one)
All-and-all things have otherwise been great! I look forward to growing this Kickstarter together with you and note, one of the Kickstarter stretch goals (improved building card underside illustrations) is a social goal! So, if you would like that unlocked share this Facebook post! Once it's been shared by 50 people we'll unlock it (the bottoms of the cards will look really great with Angela's illustrations on them).
Thank you again for your support in this. I'm really glad you see in Dawn the great game that it is.
