Update on Deluxe and Retail Editions

Hi All,
Something I wanted to bring up before the game hits stores. There were so few people (88) interested in the retail version of Dawn, much fewer than expected, I made the decision to have the manufacturers focus on making the Deluxe Edition rather than trying to maintain two totally separate product titles going forward. That said, I did create 100 retail editions that had a lot of the Deluxe items removed from the Deluxe Edition for the retail edition backers. However, retailers in the future and on my online store are going to be selling Deluxe Editions of the game.
I am happy to refund people's money for Dawn Deluxe if you're bummed out that you thought Deluxe Dawn wasn't going to be made available to non-Kickstarter backers. With the limited print run I was working with, if the manufacturer just created a whole run for a separate lower quality game for just 88 people, it just didn't make sense.

Hi All!
Here's the status for the games...
North America
For everyone in North America who ordered Dawn, your orders are either in transit to you or you've already received them. If you ordered Dawn with Darkness, or a play mat, your order might be delayed due to a shortage of stock. I'm in the process of getting more Darkness to the New Jersey warehouse, and I'll be talking with the manufacturer about getting more play mats today.
For orders where only a play mat is missing, I'm going to direct the fulfillment center to ship you what they do have and when the mat comes in we'll get that to you separately. If you don't want to wait for the play mat, you are more than welcome to a refund for the cost of the mat. I'll be sending those of you who didn't get a mat an email to work out how best to move forward with that part of your order.
Europe
I'm working with my fulfillment partner in Europe now to deal with some VAT issues that are dragging on. I'll keep you posted on how that's going. In the meantime, I'm setting things up to have the stock they need to have things shipped from the manufacturer in China, and some from New Jersey while the VAT issues resolve. There was an error in counts with how much stock I was told the manufacturer had, that's why some stock is going to have to come from New Jersey. Stay tuned on that.
The Rest of the World
The stock needed to fulfill the orders for the rest of the world is being delivered to our fulfillment center in China this week. They should have everything they need to fulfill those orders soon. Hopefully they'll be in the mail by the end of next week, fingers crossed.
Going Forward...
I really hope you like the two games, Darkness and Dawn. While it has been my intention to create a quadrilogy of games, you never know how long sequels take. If you are thinking about ordering these as a set, please consider that it's unclear the timeline of the remaining two games. Please enjoy Darkness and Dawn as games based on their own merits.

Fulfillment Status: Update Address and Shipping

Hi All!
I just locked pre-orders in BackerKit, and you should have just received an email asking to update your credit cards information for shipping. In this first pass of cards 128 were declined, which does not bode well for those folks getting a copy of the game. PLEASE make sure you update those. I want you have a great time playing Dawn!
Please double check to make sure you got a confirmation email that the transaction went through without a hitch. If it didn't please update your credit card.
Thank you! Once most of people's credit cards have been updated BackerKit will be sending out an email to update your address in the system.

Update On Last Minute Add-ons

Hi all!
After talking with BackerKit today they were able to unlock orders so you can order any last minute add-ons if you like. It turns out orders were locked right after the Kickstarter ended (my mistake) and the additional steps I went through earlier this week wouldn't work because of that.
I wish I could say I'm a BackerKit pro, but there's definitely a learning curve. :-|

June Status Update

Hi all!
The games have arrived in the New Jersey warehouse and I just sent out an email to you all from BackerKit to lock your orders/pre-orders. They will lock in 48 hours so if there's something you want before that time, please head to that site and do so. There are about 20 or so extra copies of Darkness left, as well as a few playmats. They will be on a first come first serve bases.
I've input the shipping costs for all the backer levels, so that should be good to go. Part of the delay last month was me A) trying to figure out the BackerKit UI so I don't screw it up and B) trying to get good shipping prices. There has been a LOT of inflation in shipping prices since the Kickstarter began and I wanted to try to get as low a price as possible while making sure you get your games from a quality fulfillment center and they don't get lost, damaged, etc. I ended up going with BlackBox who has a good reputation for quality work.
I'll be sending out the charge cards and update address email on Thursday.
