Dawn Status Update

Hi all!

The ship  with the games headed to the U.S. is almost in port over in New Jersey. They should be hitting shore in the next ten days. From there they will be sent a few hours away to a warehouse, also in New Jersey, where the fulfillment process will begin.

Meanwhile, in China the shipment bound for Europe via air freight is getting prepped. I hope to have that out the door in the coming days.

The rest of the shipments are coming directly out of China to places around Asia, Australia, Oceana, etc. and that will be the final batch.

I just sent out a BackerKit email...

...asking people to finalize their orders, shipping addresses, etc. over the next 48 if you have any last minute changes you want to make. Once that's done I'm going to charge your credit cards for shipping and any extra items you may have orders and hand that list over to the three distribution hubs for fulfillment.

Dawn: March Update

Status Update for March

I've been working getting the shipping, a fulfillment under way. The first shipment of games is heading out of Shanghai to New Jersey this week.  Once I get an update on when it arrives at the Blackbox fulfillment center there I'll let you all know.

Regarding BackerKit...  I haven't sent out the shipping address confirmations yet.  I want to make sure I have everything squared up with Europe and their newly ramped up tax enforcement policies. I've been talking with a consulting firm over there to make sure I understand everything and then I will be sending out the BackKit form.

I'll send out an update when I send out the BackKit email request to make sure you see it. Many folks have had some (understandable) anxiety around making sure that email doesn't land in their spam folder.

At long last, the game you've all been waiting for, Dawn is finally complete!!!

3,000 pounds of Dawn is currently sitting in a production facility in Shanghai, China.  The process of making it has overcome:

• A global pandemic
• Supply line issues
• Chinese lockdowns
• And multiple holiday slowdowns and quality improvements

And here we are.  Good things come to those who wait.

Over the next week I'll be sending out requests from BackerKit to have you update you shipping addresses and your credit card information for the shipping costs.

If there's anything you need from me in the meantime don't hesitate to email.  I look forward to your games all shipping out soon!

Manufacturing Update

The manufacturer is putting the finishing touches on all the games and things are on schedule for the games to be completed in a week.  I'll send out a note as soon as they're done, including some digital confetti, and an update on how I'm going to get the games to your doorstep.

On another note, I sent the games out for testing to make sure the games are child safe, (lead, etc.) and the results came back.  The games are good to go for lead, in case folks are curious.  It's a standard procedure for some countries to require this before the game can be sold.

Dawn Status Update

Hi all!

Per an email sent last week from the company (LongPack) manufacturing Dawn "production will be finished on Feb 20th".

I'm in the process of getting things squared away with the international shippers, as well as the fulfillment houses, and that's been going well.

I got an updated proof copy of the game sent over as part of the production run, and it looks great!  You're going to love it.  I had some friends over last week to play with the copy and make sure everything is in order, and it's looking great.  :-)

Once the logistics of getting you the game is finalized, you'll be receiving an email from BackerKit which will ask you for an updated shipping address, etc. if needed.

I've also hired an assistant for helping field questions, helping to get you games, etc. to make sure you all are taken care of in a more timely fashion.
